 Man's best friend, loyal companion, furry family, dogs have found a special place in our hearts and homes. They are one of the most popular animals in the world, and it's no wonder why. From their wagging tails to their wet noses, dogs are a source of joy and comfort for millions of people. 

 

 History of Dogs 

 Dogs have been  companions for thousands of years. They are descendants of birds domesticated by humans  15,000 years ago. Originally dogs were used for hunting and protection, but over time they became valued members of the home and kingdom. There are more than 300 different dog breeds today, each with their own unique personality and physical characteristics. 

 

 Dog Breeds 

 Dogs can be divided into different groups based on their personalities and purposes. Some of the most common groups include: 

 

 Sporting Dogs: 

Originally bred for hunting, this breed has high energy  and a strong prey drive. Examples include retrievers, spaniels, and pointers.

 Hurdles: 

This breed was bred to hunt small animals such as mice and is known for its strength and courage. Examples include the Jack Russell terrier, Scottish terrier and bull  

 Dog: this breed was bred for hunting and tasks and has a pleasant scent. Examples include foxes, hounds and greyhounds. 

 Bustard Breed: 

This breed is small  and raised primarily for companionship. Examples include Chihuahuas, Yorkshire Terriers, and Pomeranians. 


 Non-sporting breeds: This group includes breeds that do not fit into  other categories, such as bulldogs, poodles and Dalmatians.
